The process of building a limo starts with stripping the vehicle to its basic shell and cutting it in half. At that point the front and rear are separated and rebuilt, from the bottom up. The works of the car, like the axle and the gas tank, are left stock because the cuts are done at points where they will not be affected. The suspension is beefed up to handle the additional weight, the drive shaft, fuel lines, brake lines, and all wiring is extended. The rest is a matter of bending the steel to match the original bodywork. The hardest part is taking into consideration the vehicles bodylines and then making the stretch not only safe but also natural looking. If it looks like you ordered it direct from the factory then we have done a good job. With over 30 years building limousines we are the premier custom limousine builder in the Northeast. Millennium Custom Auto is all about stretching "luxury" to the limit, and into some of the most fantastic limousines you've ever seen. Cruise to Atlantic City in the back of a 20-passenger Hummer. Glide down the Pacific Coast Highway with 16 friends sprawled across a brand new Cadillac Escalade. But remember, you owe your little excursion in excess to the engineering and imagination of companies like Millennium Custom Auto in Deer Park, Long Island. Millennium is where you'll find cars and trucks being turned into fleets of fancy for the limo rental industry.
Many people believe that you can walk right into Ford or Cadillac and order a stretch SUV direct from the factory. This is not the case. No single car manufacturer in the United States offers a limousine version of their models and because of this, limo conversions don’t come cheap and take upwards of 3 months to build.
